Recent Boots Haul

So a couple of days ago, I popped to my local Boots to pick up a replacement Benefit boi-ing concealer (as I get through these like lightning) and I came away with all of this.

A bit naughty as I only went in for one thing (ooops) but it wasn't all too bad as my lovely boyfriend decided to buy me my concealer and the hair oil as these were the most expensive things I was buying, which I thought was quite sweet of him!!

The hair products:

L to R - VO5 gloss me smoothly shampoo and conditioner (in its new packaging) and Lee Stafford Arganoil nourishing miracle oil

The Face products:

L to R - Soap & Glory Sexy Extreme Plump Mother Pucker, Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder and Benefit Boi-ing Concealer.

I've used the VO5 shampoo and conditioner before and they're actually one of my most favourites for a cheaper product. It doesn't seem to cause a build up and leaves my hair really shiny. They have recently launched the new packaging and I think that it looks a lot more modern and sleek.

The Lee Stafford Oil is a fairly new product and I can't wait to try this!! It claims to be lightweight and give you the smoothest, silkiest, healthiest hair yet. Thats quite a claim and im desperate to know if it delivers as most hair oils that i've tried, have always left my hair quite greasy looking.

Soap & Glory mother pucker in extreme plump is amazing!! I used this for the first time today and I am very impressed!! I haven't used one of their normal plumping lipgloss products before so this seemed to really tingle for a long time but I loved the results.

I haven't tried Rimmel's stay matte powder before either but i've read good things about this product on various blogs so wanted to give it a try.

And finally, my benefit concealer. I absolutely swear by this product and have used it solidly now for about five years!! Seriously I get through so many of them though as I use it every single day under my eye's and also on blemishes when I have them.

I think i'll be doing quite a lot of reviews on all of these products once I have tried them and can't wait to see the results.

Has anyone tried any of these products?! What do you think of them?!

I had to include a pic of the other most famous couple at the wedding, Posh and Becks. I thought that they both looked lovely but David slightly stole Posh's thunder for me in his suit, tophat and medal!!

Lee Stafford Overnight Treatment Review

I have been using this for a while now and just thought I would share my thoughts on this product with all of you.

It is of course Lee Stafford Overnight Treatment (Poker Straight Sleepover). I think this product now might be in a tub as appose to this pump tube as I can't seem to find this packaging in my local Boots anymore.

What is say's it will do:

"With Intelligent Repair Protein, it works while you get your beauty sleep leaving no trace of residue on your pillow!! When you wake and wash, your hair will have been given the kiss of life and will no longer be on the critical list."

"Especially for hair thats been ironed n ironed. An intense overnight conditioning treatment that replenishes, renews and restores damaged hair. Intelligent Repair Protein recognises especially vulnerable spots and kisses them better. Keratin amino Acids restore the hairs optimum moisture balance and Panthenol promotes shine."

What I think:

I absolutely love this product!! It has the usual, gorgeous Lee Stafford smell and I even like the packaging. I slather it on all over my hair about 15 minutes before I go to bed, directly on to my dry hair and it dries in minutes. It does actually do what it claims to do and leaves no residue on your pillow what so ever which is a big plus for me as other's that i've tried, have taken age's to dry and have always left something behind on my pillow.

The consistancy of this product is quite thick but it feels silky, even on your hand.

I put my hair up just before bed and forget its even on my hair. When I wash my hair in the morning, it feels silky and smooth before i've even applied shampoo and washed it out.

I use this about once a week at the moment but you can use it as often as you like and as much or as little as you like. I have definately noticed a difference in the condition of my hair since I started using this and would definately recommend it to everyone!! I straighten or curl my hair more or less everyday, so its definately been put to the test.

This is me looking slightly tipsy on a night out but my hair has never looked so shiny and healthy and its all thanks to Mr Stafford once again!!

Have you tried this before?! Whats your favourite Lee Stafford product?!

Mini Bourjois Haul

I have wanted to try a certain shade of the Bourjois Blushes for a while now after seeing it on a few various blogs, so I recently decided to give it a try.
As i went in to Superdrug, they had one of their very dangerous 3 for 2 offer's on so of course, I couldn't come out with just one product.

This is what I came away with: L to R - Bronzing Powder in shade 51, Blush in shade 16 Rose Coup De Foudre and 3D Effect lipgloss in shade 03.

First of all the bronzer. I wasn't sure if I wanted this or not but one of my friends has it and loves it so thought I would give it a try.

I have to say that im not very impressed with this bronzer at all. I love the packaging and think that its quite a cute idea making it look (and apparently smell) like chocolate, but in my brothers word's "When have you ever eaten chocolate that smells like that?!" It kind of smells like chocolate, with perfume thrown in too.

The front of the box says "Bronzing Powder, filled with glints of sunshine" and this is meant to give you "an immediate boost to your complexion".
Im not so sure. It kind of just appears dull on my skin when I use it all over, so I decided to just use it as a contour. However when I did this, it looked really orangey and I just can't get on with it at all.

The Blusher however, I love.

This blusher is lovely. Its a gorgeous peachy/pink shade with just the right amount of shimmer (which is hardly any). I really like these blushers anyway and had wanted to try this one for a while. The colour pay off is really good with this and it stays on for age's before slightly wearing off towards the end of the day.

And finally the lipgloss.

This is probably my favourite product out of the three. I had never tried any of the Bourjois glosses before but was tempted by the 3D Effect that was promised.
The shade I got is 03 and its a lovely kind of pinky/mauve colour, not too light and not too dark. The packaging says "Volume and shine elixir gloss with a balm action moisture for 8hrs".

This is the least sticky gloss that i've ever used. It doesn't feel sticky or gloopy at all and when im wearing this, it actually feels like i've got lip balm on instead of a gloss.
This also stays on surprising well for a lip gloss and when it does eventually wear off, my lips aren't left feeling dry or flakey at all.

I would definately recommend trying this to anyone who hasn't yet and I can't wait to try out more of the different colours!!

Swatches of all three products: L to R - Bronzing Powder, Blusher, Lip gloss.

Has anyone tried any of these products?! What were your thoughts, especially on the bronzer?!

Ice Cream and Baby Ducklings

Is everyone having a good easter?! I just thought I would share some photo's with you all from yesterday.
The weather was so so hot, it was like being abroad!! Me and the Boyfriend decided to have a walk in the park which turned out to be far to much effort on a hot day but we did see lots of baby ducklings!! They were so cute, there were about 12 of them all following their mum around!!

We got back from the park and decided to just sit in the garden with some ice cream, something you can't normally do in England.

Yummy Haagen-Dazs in Dulce de Leche (Toffee to me and you!!)

This is my boyfriend taking the mickey out of how I usually pose for photo's on my blog, cheeky bugger!!

And finally I thought I would add a pic of my family dog, Molly. It was way too hot for her outside so she lay peeping out of the patio doors all day. She's about 11 years old now even though she sometimes still looks like a puppy and she just couldn't be bothered moving in the heat!!

What have you all been getting up to in the gorgeous weather?! Don't eat too many easter egg's :-)

Its another sunny day again today, hopefully it is where you are too!! Its so hot that its now even too hot for jeans and I normally live in my skinny jeans.
So today I found out one of my summer dresses and thought i'd do a quick outfit of the day post for you all.

Dress: Miss Selfridge
Jacket: Primark

I kept my make up quite simple and just changed my normal black eyeliner for a green instead.

Hope everyone is having a nice day in the sun and has a lovely easter with lots of chocolate!!

NOTD Barry M Bright Purple

Now I have a confession to make to you all....I have only just discovered Barry M Nail Paints!! Its slightly shocking I know but im so glad that i've now tried them and can already see an obsession starting.

I picked this colour up the other day just to try it out as I wasn't sure if I was going to like the consistency or colour pay off with them.

I needn't have worried. I put on two coats but I was naughty and didn't bother with base coat or top coat. So in the image you see above is just two coats of the colour itself and im VERY impressed!! I have been wearing this now for 3 days and am pleased to say NO CHIPS what so ever!! I have tried no end of nail varnishes (including OPI and China Glaze) and for some reason they have always chipped very quickly, some even at the end of the first day's wear.

This is why am I so impressed with Barry M and I would definately recommend them to anyone but I think I am the last person on the planet to give these a try.

So I was down my local shopping centre this morning and thought I would call in to Superdrug to have a sneaky look at some more. Im glad I did as they are on 2 for £4.99 at the mo in Superdrug (normally £2.99 each) so I couldn't resist just a couple more.

L to R - Indigo, Pink Flamingo, Raspberry, Bright Purple and Dusky Mauve

Im looking forward to trying the Dusky Mauve as it seems to have a kind of purple shimmer through it, lots of nail of the day posts to come ha!!
I used to have nail extensions and used to hate my real short nails. It seems to have taken age's for my real nails to recover but with so many colours to try out there, im really glad I got rid of my fake nails.
I can't believe how good these nail varnishes are when they are so cheap, definately goes to show you should try the cheaper stuff, as well as the expensive!!

I can't wait to give all of the other shades a go and im already tempted to go back and buy more....I must resist!!

Whats your favourite shade from Barry M?!

Curly Hair

I went out for a Nando's and drinks with the Boyfriend on friday night and decided to curl my hair for a change as we'd decided to make it kind of like a "date night".

I love having my hair curly/wavy but it never seems to stay that way for very long, no matter how much hairspray I use!!
I tend to use my ghd's for curling my hair as the curls stay in a lot longer than if I use my conical wand although im not quite sure why this is.

I loved the finished look and when the curls started to drop a bit, I clipped the sides back for a more natural wave kind of look. I find it can be a bit of a pain getting lovely curls when your hair is layered like mine!!
I think having my hair like this makes me look more like my age, instead of looking about 16 which everyone keeps telling me I do!!

I really really like the wavey/loose curls look too but never seem to manage it unless its my curls dropping out.

Has anyone got a recommendation as to what you curl your hair with?!

My New Love (From River Island)

Im in LOVE with my new bag from River Island!!

Its a gorgeous grey snake skin kind of effect with two short handles and one across the body longer strap. Im not one for little, small handbags as I always carry around far too much stuff to put in them so this is the perfect size for me.

I first saw this bag in the window of my local River Island just before Christmas and I instantly loved it. However after already buying myself far too many Christmas prezzies, I very reluctantly walked away from it. (How strong am I?!)

So when my Brother asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I told him to get me this but just my luck, it had sold out everywhere, even online!! My Brother decided to just give me the money for it and told me to buy it myself when it came back in stock.
I'd been looking every week or so or everytime I went past River Island and EVENTUALLY it came back in stock!!

I bought it about a month ago now but still haven't used it as I don't want to ruin it!! Im a nightmare for that, if I get something that I love, I don't want to use it in case it gets ruined but really I should just use it and enjoy it.

I really like the inside lining of the bag too, not very handy when you're trying to find your lippy at the bottom of the bag as everything is kind of camoflaged but thats what make up bags are for, right?!

Although I love make up and all things beauty, my weakness is definately shoes and handbags and I have far too many, I think its time for a clearout!!
I just have to pluck up the courage to part with them!!

Has anyone else treated themselves to a new bag recently?!
