Dior Addict Lipstick in Diorkiss

Hi Guys!!

So recently I won a giveaway from over at Charlotte's Obsessions where the lovely Charlotte was celebrating reaching 600 followers!! As the winner of her giveaway, I got to choose either a Chanel Rouge Coco Shine or a Dior Addict lipstick in a shade of my choice.
This was a very generous prize and just wanted to say a big Thank You to Charlotte for my lipstick!!

Anyway, after searching through what seemed like thousands of different shades in both brands of lipsticks, I finally chose whats probably been the bestseller out of the Dior Lipsticks as its the shade that Kate Moss wears in the promo pic, DiorKiss.

I wasn't sure weather to chose a Chanel or a Dior Lipstick but im so glad that I chose this in the end as its the perfect colour for me and the texture of this is gorgeous!! Its not at all drying on my lips and it just glides on.
Its great for everyday wear as its not too bright but I feel like I should save this for special nights out as its my very first Dior Lipstick and I know how expensive they are!!

Its the perfect pink colour with no shimmer but it does give that lovely sheen to the lips which I love as it never looks dull or drying when applied.
I think this shade would suit most people and it wouldnt surprise me if most of you already have this in your collection!!

Once again, a big Thank You to Charlotte, I love my new lipstick!! :-)

Have you tried this yet?! Which other shades would you recommend?!

Lee Stafford Advice and A Catch Up

Hi Lovelies!!

I have been a bad blogger recently but I had forgotton how much having a job actually takes it out of you!! I have only done my first three days of training with Benefit but i've literally been coming home and going straight to sleep.
Its going well and I love it so far, its just tiring me out already!!

Anyway, I have always wanted to try Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment but have never bothered picking it up as because of the price, I figured that even if it did actually work, I would end up spending a fortune on the stuff.

However I was on the Boots website the other day and noticed that selected Lee Stafford products are on an offer, 3 for £12. As this is normally £7.99 for one tub, I decided to order three of them.

I haven't tried it yet as I was wandering if any of you girlies have used this before and how you use it. It states on the tub to use it after shampoo and before conditioner but I wasnted to maybe use it as a hair mask and leave it on for a while as its quite thick and i thought that this would give my hair a treat.
Have any of you used this in this way before?!

On another note, me and the bf went to see The Inbetweeners today and it was hilarious!! If you get the chance to go and see it, then you definately should, its very funny!!

We were a little early for the film and so went in to Frankie and Bennys for a cheeky cocktail :-)

Have you seen The Inbetweeners yet?! Hope everyone had a fab weekend!!

Hi Girlies!!

It has been the longest 6 months ever, especially as i've been seeing loads of lovely things that i've wanted to buy and couldn't.

However, I now have a job, yay!!

I start my training tomorrow and im a bit excited and a little bit more nervous.

My new job is working for....

I will be working on a benefit beauty counter and cant wait!!

I never mentioned anything before as I was getting fed up of going for interviews and not hearing anything back. I went for the first interview at the start of July and then got a second interview and then after a long wait, I got offered the job!!

I love benefit products and so cant wait to see how I get on working for them :-)

Hope u've all had a great day!!

Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Hi Ladies!!

Im back from my four days away in Edinburgh and am ready to get stuck back in to my blogging :-)
I had a really good time visiting my Brother and seeing comedians and all the sightseeing that goes along with The Fringe Festival.
I just thought I would share some photo's of my time away and then normal blogging will resume from today!!

Warning: Picture heavy post :-)

Edinburgh Castle

Me and my Brother Dave

Jenners and a Piper

Cocktails!!

Me and Dave with the funniest comedian we saw, Bob Slayer

I had to include this last pic, it was a Bridal Shop in a little town in Edinburgh but I thought that the dress that they had in the window was just like Kate Middletons dress and had to take a picture!! (Much to my Brothers embarrassment!!)

I had a good time seeing my Brother but Edinburgh was sooo busy with the festival being on and I did loads and loads of walking so i've come back really tired.

Has anyone else been to Edinburgh before?! Hope you all had a fab weekend!!

Lack Of Posts Update

Hi Guys!!

I just thought I would update all of you as to why there will be a lack of posts from me (just for four days) :-)
So last night I flew up to Edinburgh to see my Brother and maybe see a bit of the Fringe Festival. Im up for four days altogether however my Brother is working until the weekend so i've been left to entertain myself.

I absolutely hate flying, so even just getting here was an ordeal for me!! Its not the fear of flying but more that I hate feeling claustrophobic and hate flying on my own. It was quite windy in Birmingham for the take off and when I landed in Edinburgh, it was typical scottish weather....raining.
Not just raining, raining that was bouncing off the ground!!

Im a total worrier and worried about everything on the way up and im already stressing about the way home!! The only thing thats good to think about is maybe the Duty Free Make Up counters at the airport!!

So im going to have to go on the hunt for some shops at some point to take my mind of it (Thats my excuse anyway!!)
I'll do the tourist kind of stuff at the weekend with My Brother. I did venture in to Edinburgh City Centre earlier today but it was PACKED full of people and absolutely POURING down, I got soaked.

I used to live in Glasgow so thought I would like Edinburgh but its been quite stressful so far!!

Please excuse how tired I look here, it was taken after a long day and the dreaded flight and it was raining and cold!!

I will hopefully have some photos to share with you all if the rain ever stops.

Does anyone recommend seeing a certain thing or going to a certain place in Edinburgh?! It would be good to know!!

MUA Pro Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette

Hi Girlies!!

So yesterday, I included this gorgeous palette in my haul and couldn't wait to try it out today!! I said that I would let you all know what I thought of it so here goes :-)
I was a bit skeptical at first bacause of the price. (Only £4 from Superdrug!!)

However, I love, love, love this palette!! Its amazing and i know i've only used it once but I am seriously impressed with the staying power of these eyeshadows.

(I used: top row 1st and 4th along, bottom row 6th along)

For the purpose of this post, I deliberately only took photo's of my make up about ten minutes ago, after a full day of wearing my make up. (So please excuse the messy hair)
I applied these eyeshadows at about 10 o'clock this morning without any eyeshadow primer and I am amazed to say that they have lasted all day with no touch ups and no creasing!!

The eyshadows are all highly pigmented and really soft which makes them really easy to blend. I will definately be getting a lot of use out of this as it is a great alternative to my Urban Decay Naked Palette and a fraction of the price!!
With this being only £4 I dont mind using it everyday :-)

If you love neutral eyeshadows like me, then I would definately recommend that you try this!!

It gets a big thumbs up from me!!

They do these palettes in a couple of other shades as well, I think I will maybe try them but for now, im more than happy with this one!!

Have you tried this yet?! What did you think?!

Lazy Sunday

Hi Lovelies!!

So today I went shopping with my Mum which was fun. We didn't go for anything in particular but I still managed to spend quite a bit in the lethal Boots and Superdrug. (I can justify all of the purchases, I promise!!)

Eylure Lashes, Nails Inc Kensington Cavier Base Coat and Top Coat, MUA Pro Eyeshadow Palette in Heaven and Earth.

I picked up some new lashes as my Ardell lashes have been worn a couple of times now and are going all funny at the edges. Does anyone else get more than a couple of uses out of their lashes?! If so, i'd love to know how you keep them in good condition. I think the fact that I normally only wear false lashes if i've been out drinking and so never take the glue off them until the next day, ooops!!

Nails Inc Base Coat and Top Coat, I needed some new ones and i've heard a lot of good things about these.

MUA Pro Eyeshadow Palette, I finally decided to try it out to see if it can help me stop using my beloved Naked Palette everyday. I do love my Sleek Palettes though so i'll be interested to see what this is like in comparison. My Mum picked one of these up too!!

Superdug Natural High Brightening Eye Cream, The Body Shop Tea Tree Blotting Tissues, Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream, Revlon Blush Brush.

I've used the Brigthening Eye Cream before and loved it so im not sure why I didn't repurchase straight away but i do love this product. It contains Arnica which is used for bruising and this is what makes it great for my really dark, blue kind of rings under my eye's which are always there!!

Tea Tree Blotting Tissues, I keep these in my bag and always use them for reducing shine throughout the day, love these.

Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream, you can use this on your face, body and hands. I absolutely love this cream. I dont use it on my face but I do use it on my hands, feet, elbows, knees. Its really moisturising, non greasy, sinks in quickly and smells amazing, need I say more?! My Mum uses this too and we picked this up in Wilko for only 97p!! (Its normally about £2.00 I think)

Revlon Blush Brush, I picked this up as I really liked the shape of the brush and thought it would be great to use for contouring!! I haven't used any Revlon Brushes before so i'll let you all know how I get on with it.

I came home and sat in the garden in the sun for a bit with some fruit (trying to be a bit healthy!!)

A certain little someone (by the name of Molly) decided to join me in the hope that I would maybe drop a grape or two!!

What did everyone else get up to today?! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Babyliss Heated Rollers

I've had these rollers for around 6 months now and apart from having a quick attempt at trying to add volume to my hair when I first got them, they've been sitting under my bed ever since.
If I want curly or waves in my hair then I normally use my GHD's or my waving wand but I thought these might add some much longed for volume to my hair!!

So today I decided to give them a try.

Mine are the Babyliss Thermo-Ceramic Rollers which claim to have a fast, high heat for long lasting results.

  • Variable temperature for all hair types
  • Soft touch ceramic rollers for a smooth finish
  • Ionic technology for frizz-free results
What you get:
  • 8 x Large rollers
  • 6 x Medium rollers
  • 6 x Small rollers
  • 10 x Super clips
  • 20 x Metal Pins

The different size rollers
. (I didn't get a pic of the clips, sorry!!)

They are really simple and easy to use (if you're careful not to burn your fingers on the actual middle part of the rollers!!)
There is a red dot on top of one of the rollers and this turns white when they are ready to use. I think mine had been switched on for about 15 mins before they were hot enough, although I did have it on the highest setting as I have quite thick hair.
I found it a bit fiddly at first, trying not to burn my fingers and my ears was a job in itself :-) I used the large rollers on the top of my head and down the middle and then the medium and small rollers for the rest of my hair.

I waited about 40 mins before I took them out as I just did my make up and then had some lunch. My Dad found it hilarious that I looked like this!!

You can take them out after 10 mins if you want a loose curl or leave them in for as long as you like for a more tighter curl look.

I quite liked the finished look. It had gone more curly than I intended but I think this was down to me using the smaller rollers at the bottom of my hair as i'd ran out of the larger ones!!

I think it looks more like a 1960's look and this was confirmed when my Mum said I looked like something out of Heartbeat, remember that old tv programme?!

I applied some hairspray in the hope that it would last the day but im sad to say that most of the curls had dropped by early evening and looked more like loose waves. Maybe next time I should try using some mousse before drying my hair as i've heard that heated rollers are meant to be good at achieving a long lasting curl. Has anyone got any tips for getting the curls to last that I dont know about?! It would be great to hear if you do!!

Have you got these?! Did they work for you?!

NOTD Nails Inc St John's Wood

Hi Girlies!!

I had started taking these photo's, intending to do a FOTD post but then decided that my nails were much more pretty and so changed my mind.
The colour is Nails Inc St John's Wood. This is a colour that I would never usually look at. However, I came across it in my Mums collection the other day and decided to give it a try.

This is a gorgeous shade thats a mix between purple and blue. Its quite hard to describe the exact colour but it is an amzing colour!! Its a soft powder lilac nail polish and its a beautiful and unique shade.

I have on two coats in the pics but I honestly could have got away with just one as it is super pigmented and applied really easily.

Its a very different colour to what I would normally use but im glad that I tried it as I think its really pretty and lovely for the summer :-)

Have you tried this before?! Which Nails Inc polish do you recommend?!
