Bourjois Highlighting Powder

Hi Girlies!!

I just thought I would share with you all a product that I have just discovered. I found this lovely little highlighter the other day while I was browsing eBay. I love the Bronzing Powder by Bourjois that looks like chocolate and was intrigued by this when I saw it!!

Its in exactly the same kind of packaging which I also love and has the same kind of smell to it too. I have never seen this in the shops before, so think it might have been discontinued in the UK but you can still get it on eBay. I paid about £4.00 for mine so not too bad on pricing either.

This gives a gorgeous, pearlescent finish to the skin which looks amazing when applied over blusher. It gives me an instant burst of radiance and it has an ultra soft texture which is lovely. Its not too shiny which is what I like about it!!
I also like to apply this just on my brow bone and it stays put all day. It really is one of the best highlighter's that i've tried.

Has anyone else tried this before?!

Fave Face Mask - Lush Mask Of Magnaminty

Hi Lovelies!!

I was recently in my local Lush and was just having a browse to see if anything caught my attention. I love having a nosey in Lush as I almost always find somethong new that i've never noticed before.
I've used a fair few face maks over the years but i'd never tried any from Lush before so when I spotted this, I had to try it!!

This is the perfect little treat for my skin and it leaves it feeling fresh, clean and super soft!! The consistency is quite a thick and it smells of peppermint which makes it feel really refreshing and revitalizing.

This mask is deeply cleansing, toning and exfoliating and it refreshes and brightens your skin. I've only used this a couple of times but it is so lovely and really helps keep my combination/oily skin under control.

In the past, i've found that some face masks can either leave my skin too greasy or the total opposite and be really drying.
I would definately recommend this though for people with a more problem, combination skin!!

It contains honey and also has little ground aduki beans in it and these really help to leave my skin really smooth which is a bonus.

It comes in two sizes from Lush, a big pot for £8.25 or a smaller pot for £4.75.

I got the smaller size as it lasts for age's anyway and its the perfect size for trying a new product in case you dont like it. (I doubt that you won't though!!)

I don't know why, but I would never thought of looking in Lush for a face mask but im glad I did as this is now my holy grail face mask and i'd recommend it to everyone!!

Have you tried this before?! Did you like it?!

NYX Tea Rose

Hi Guy's!!

So a couple of weeks ago, I decided to try some of the NYX lipsticks as i'd heard good things about them on various other blogs.
I only bought a couple (as well as some eyeshadows, mentioned here) but the one's I did buy, I absolutely love!!

I got this from the NYX UK Website and it cost £4.95, however until the 26th July, there is an offer on the website where all lipsticks are half price and free shipping if you spend over £10.
I've already ordered a couple more in different shades and my mum has too!!

The one i've been using the most is Tea Rose. It is such a wearable, everyday colour and it doesn't dry out my lips at all.

They glide on my lips and the pigmentation of them is amazing. The only down side to them is they don't stay on that well and so need to be reapplied but for the price of these, im not going to complain!!

I know NYX products can be a bit of a pain to get a hold of in the UK but I found their website really good and the delivery was super fast, it literally came the day after I ordered.

Have you tried this colour before?! What do you think of NYX lipsticks?!

NOTD - China Glaze IV

IV is part of the China Glaze X Collection which celebrated their 10th anniversary with ten shades named with roman numerals that climb the color scale from light to dark.

This was my first China Glaze Nail Polish and I think I bought it about three or four years ago now. When I first bought it, I had seen it on another blog and thought that it looked like the perfect coral colour.
However, when I tried it, it was more of a pinky peachy kind of colour, with just a hint of coral. I didn't really use it much when I first had it as I thought it was too pale for me.

I had completely forgot that I had this until I was recently looking for a nail polish to wear to the wedding that I recently went to. (Blogged about here)

As I was wearing nude accessories, I decided on this colour and it was perfect for the occasion. Its also perfect for when your not quite sure what colour you want to wear or which will go with your outfit as it goes with anything!!

Im not sure if any stores still stock this colour but im sure you can pick it up on eBay or some cosmetics websites.

Have you got this nail polish?! Which China Glaze colour do you recommend?!

My First GlossyBox - July 2011

Today I finally received my first GlossyBox.

I was so glad to actually get it as I ordered this way back in May but due to the high demand was told that this would be my first box.

I quickly opened it up to find out what was inside and im happy to say, I wasn't disappointed!!

I know what everyone gets varies slightly and I had already had a sneaky peak on a couple of fellow bloggers posts and kind of had an idea what would be inside.

I received:

Ciate Nail Enamel in Mojito - 13.5ml Full Size

Orla Kiely Eau De Parfum - 5ml Mini Size

Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil - 100ml Full Size

Ultrasun Face SPF30 -15ml Mini Size

Illamasqua Powdered Metal in Ether - 15g Full Size

I've done a little bit of research in to the prices of these products and know that the Ciate Nail Polish retails at £9.00, the Weleda Body Oil is £19.95 and the Illamasqua Powdered Metal retails at £22.50 so i've definately got my moneys worth with this box with me paying just £10 for it!!
Im so glad that they seemed to have upped their game since the last box, which I didn't get, but I know a lot of fellow bloggers were left disappointed by.

Im looking forward to trying out all of these products, especially the one's i've never heard of like the Weleda Body Oil. (Which really looks like a bottle of medicine to me, does anyone else think so?!)

I've also always wanted to try the Ciate Nail Polishes but was a little disppointed that I got the shade Mojito as im not sure if bright green is really my colour. I know a few of you received a pale pinky colour, I think this would have suited me better but never mind!!

Also the Illamasqua Powdered Metal is my very first Illamasqua product so im quite excited about trying this too!!

I will wait and see what arrives in nexts months GlossyBox but so far, im impressed. I'd be interested to know what everyone else gets in their box.

Have you ordered a GlossyBox yet?! What did you get in yours?!

Have you ever tried....

Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil?!

This isn't a review on this product (not yet anyway). I've just bought this today and I was wandering if any of my lovely followers have ever tried it before.

Since I haven't had a job for a while now, i've definately put on weight as im just not moving as much as I used to!!
When your unemployed, you have all the time in the world to go to the gym but no money to do it with!! I've got weights, a sit up machine and a skipping rope at home, I just dont have the motivation.
I definately need to do something about this now as i've developed some stretch marks on my thighs which I hate!!

I was browsing the shelves in Superdrug today and noticed the Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil and noticed that it states to actually help improve the appearance of stretch marks and not just prevent them like most of the lotions do.
I decided to have a think about buying this as it was priced at £10.20 and like I said before - no job!!

Im glad I did as I found the exact same thing in Asda, reduced to clear at only £4.99.

You can use this oil all over your body, even on your face which is quite good. It contains Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E, Sesame Oil, Canola Oil, Cetesomate-E and Rosehip Oil.
I used a face oil from The Body Shop before when I had acne and that contained Rosehip Oil and it really worked so im quite excited to try this and I really hope it works!!

This is also good for treating, scars, dry, damaged skin, uneven skin tone and fine lines/wrinkles.

It also claims to be non-greasy and non-staining witth its fast drying formula.

It would be really good to get any feedback at all on this if you have ever used it.

Did it work for you?! Would you recommend it?!

No Heat Hair

So a couple of weeks ago, my trusty GHD's decided to have a meltdown on me. I've only had them for a year but one day they just started to make a crackling sound and then started to bleep on and off on their own so I decided that I needed to send them back to GHD.
I've been without them for a week now and i've been using my old GHD's which are quite rubbish now and my hair just looks frizzy even when i've used them.

So today I decided that I would be good to my hair and not even bother using them. (I did blow dry my hair so the title of this post isn't entirely true oops).

I decided to just try and style my hair in a kind of messy bun as im not keen on having a pony tail that just makes my hair look limp and heavy.

I really like how it turned out and thought I would share with you all as its a great way to style your hair if your in a rush or don't want to use too much heat on your hair. Its perfect for a lazy day!!
Hopefully my GHD's will be sent back to me soon as I hate not having them!!

What do you think?! Can you manage without heat appliances on your hair?!

NYX Haul

I've heard lots of good things about NYX products, mainly from bloggers from across the pond and i've always wanted to try them.
So after searching eBay and a few different sites I had a little spending spree.

I got two of the eyeshadow palettes from The Caribbean Collection and two lipsticks.

The first lipstick that I bought was Tea Rose. I'd seen this on various blogs and youtube videos and thought that it looked like the perfect natural pinky shade.
I love this colour!! It glides on and is so creamy without drying out my lips.

The second lipstick I got was a little bit more expensive as its from their Black Label Lipstick collection and I couldn't find it anywhere on eBay so had to pay full price for it (£8.49). Its called Bling and I absolutely love it!!
This is my favourite out of the two. It does feel slightly different on the lips but if anything, it feels more silky smooth and it gives a lovely sheen to it as well. Its got a gorgeous smell to it and the colour is the perfect colour that i've been looking for to use everyday!!

Swatches L - R Tea Rose and Bling

5 Color Shadow in I Dream Of Jamaica

5 Color Shadow in I Dream Of St. Kitt

I really like the colours in these palettes although they are quite similar. I have used the Jamaica one today and so far I really like it. The colours blend well and now im just waiting to see how long they'll last!!

I really wish that they stocked NYX products in stores over here in the UK as it would be nice to look through all the various shades and colours as they've got loads of different lipsticks and I can see them becoming part of my permanent collection!!

Has anyone tried these before?! What did you think of them?!
