My Favourite Face Brushes

These are the brushes that I reach for on a daily basis. I couldnt apply my base make up without any of these so thought I would share my faves with you.

Im pretty sure that all of you will have all of these, if not at least one of them.

My all time favourite brush for applying foundation is the Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki. (Top brush) I absolutely love everything about this brush, from the sturdiness of it to the way it flawlessly applies my foundation.

As an alternative to my Sigma brush (ok, just when it needs cleaning) is the Urban Decay Optical Blurring brush. (Second brush down) It has more of a domed shaped head but it works just as well and the bristles are silky soft.

My real Techniques brushes are amazing and I think that for the price, you cant find a better collection of brushes. (Bottom two brushes) I use the blush brush and the contour brush for every blusher and highlighter that I wear and I think the blusher brush is the best ive ever used!!

Have you got any of these brushes, or all of them?!
What do you think of them?! x x

Dont You Worry Child

That is my main new years resolution, try to worry A LOT less!! That and to lose weight and get fit.

Although ive been absent from the blogging scene for a long time, ive very much missed it and have still kept up with all of my faves so have decided to make a return to my poor, neglected blog.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and an amazing New Year, it was my birthday just before Christmas and I also started a new job so it was a very busy time for me!!

Heres a few pics (ok, maybe a lot of pics) just to give you an update with everything ive been up to and I cant wait to get back to the wonderful world of blogging.

New job with Clinique!!

My Birthday prezzie from James, a trip to the real German Market in Frankfurt!! He knows I love going to the German Market in Birmingham so he got a big thumbs up for this!!

A big bonus, it started snowing while we were there.

My Weight Battle Begins NOW!!

Im looking for some inspiration and advice from all of you gorgeous girlies now and I really hope that you can help me.
In the last year, ive gained roughly 2 stone and its making me miserable. Its down to the form of contraception that im on I think but I also dont eat that healthily, ok hardly ever!!
I know thats really bad but I just dont like vegetables or salad so although I eat fruit, I also eat a lot of junk.

Ive got so many exercise DVDs (this one being my most recent) and all the exercise equipment you can think of but I just find it so boring and even though I really want to lose the weight, I just cant stick to an exercise regime.
I cant afford the gym but I do have a cross trainer and a rowing machine at home although ive found that my Jillian Michaels DVD works better than any of those!! Its only 20 mins a day for 30 days and theres 3 levels to chose from, im still on Level 1 and it hurts, trust me!!

Here is a comparison for you, me about 4 years ago, I know its a while but id LOVE to have this figure back!! And me now, although the hair and make up is better (what did I used to look like) im not happy with the thighs and bingo wings!!

The recent photo also hides well my main problem area, my tummy.
I basically just wanted to know any useful hints or tips from you guys or what motivates you to stay in shape?!
Ive tried Weight Watchers but as I work shifts, could never get to a class and the Dukan Diet was just too bland.

I want to lose 2 stone but my lovely boyfriend has told me that, if I lose a stone by christmas, then he'll buy me an iPad yipeeee!! Talk about an incentive!!

While on holiday this year in Greece with him, ive never felt so self conscious about my body and its a shame as it was our first holiday away together. I wore swimming costumes the whole time instead of bikinis and hated the way I felt.

This is the photo that made me decide that I HAVE to do something about it, my legs look awful!!

To end this rant on a positive, ill include a photo from our hol that I DO like :)

I hope you guys can help me as I really want to shift this weight and get myself an iPad!!

Current Faves

So I thought id start with my returning to my blog with a post on my current favourite products. These products ive been using pretty much everyday for the last month or longer and I love all of them!!

  •  Palmers Cocoa Butter - This is probably one of everyones beauty staples but ive only recently tried this and I love it. A friend reommended it as a great after tan moisturiser and its perfect at keeping my St Tropez looking good.
  • Samy Fat Hair "0" Calories Amplifying Hair Spray - If you havent tried this, you need to!! Its THE best hairspray that ive tried and its really great for backcombing as it gives great volume and lasts all day.
  • Clarins Water Purify One-Step Cleanser - Ive got through bottles of this stuff as its so quick and easy to use. I normally use a cleansing cream but this is so much easier to use and it keeps my oiliness under control pretty well.
  • OPI Sparrow Me The Drama - From The Pirates Of The Caribbean Collection, this is the perfect shade of pink and ive had a lot of compliments on it at work!!
  • Chloe Eau De Parfum - I wore this on my first date with my boyfriend and so it brings back nice memories :)
  • Mac Dazzleglass in Love Alert - I got this from the Bicester Outlet Village about 5 months ago. Id never tried one before but loved the colour and now its my most reached for lipgloss, definately need to get another one soon as ive not got much left!!
Have you tried any of my faves?!
What do you think of them?!

Very, Very Bad Blogger

Hi Girlies

Im officially back to my blogging!! Ive said that a few times in the last 6 months but I really do mean it this time, honestly!!

The reason why ive been absent for so long is because I now have a new boyfriend.
I met James back in March and im sure that a lot of you will know what its like when you first meet someone new and you're suddenly going out and doing things all the time again.
Me and James have a lot in common and are really enjoying spending time together and learning new things about each other.

Im a happy bunny right now and so i thought it was about time to find my love for my blog again!!

So heres a couple of pics for you all to introduce James and show you whos to blame for me being absent for a while hehe!! (Thats if you can even remember who I am!!)

Hope youve all been enjoying the recent sun and I cant wait to get back to the world of blogging!!

Rimmel Show Off

Hi Girlies!!
Long time, no blog!!

I thought I would get back in to my blog again by sharing with you all my perfect shade of nail polish that ive always been searching for!!

Its Rmmel's Professional Finish Nail Polish in Show Off.

In the bottle, this looks quite a bit brighter than it does in the pictures but it is the perfect shade of coral/pink that ive always wanted, perfect for the spring to get away from the dark, dull colours of winter.

Ive had this polish on for 4 days now and still no chips!! In the pictures I have applied 2 coats of the polish with OPI's base coat and top coat to finish :-)

What is your perfect shade of pink?!

Project Clear Skin Starts With Clarins!!

Hi Ladies!!

I have had enough of my problem skin and so have decided to completely change my skin care. As I work on a make up counter, I decided to seek advice from the counter next to me which was Clarins. I've never used anything from Clarins before but was very impressed with everything id heard about them as well as the lovely ladies who work on the counter having amazing skin!!

I came away with this little lot and so far im very impressed. I will do more in depth reviews when I have used the products for a longer amount of time but even the cleanser feels so luxurious, I love it.
I purchased the cleanser, toner, face wash, moisruriser and eye cream.
All of the above (apart from the eye cream) are for combination/oily skin which is great for me. The eye cream is for all skin types for the first signs of aging. I decided to start using it as I am 26 now and feel that I should really start to look after my skin.

At the moment in Debenhams, if you spend over £30 on Clarins products (one to be skincare) you can pick 3 travel-plus size products out of 10 for free!!

I chose the exfoliating cleanser, body lotion and the multi-active day cream to try to see if I need to start using anti aging stuff yet.
These are all really good sized products to get for free and id really recommend having a look if you use Clarins as there's loads of different products to choose from!!

I've only been using these for a couple of days but they all feel amazing on my skin and im keeping my fingers crossed for some fab results!!

Do you use Clarins skin care?! Which products do you recommend?!
